Meet Veronica Lobo, our amazing Makeup Artistry instructor from the Miami campus! Originally from Colombia, Veronica has over 10 years of experience in the makeup industry. She inspires her students to master new techniques, learn the history of makeup, and loves when they get involved and show eagerness to learn.

What is a typical day at the makeup studio like?

A typical day in the makeup studio is in the salon. We impart theory, for 30 to 45 minutes we explain and then we do a makeup demonstration. At the end, the students go to the other room where the vanity is so they can recreate the look that has already been demonstrated.

Lipstick or lip gloss?

Lip gloss because in addition to giving you shine it increases volume in the structure of your lips.

How do you feel when a student graduates?

It is a mix of emotions, pride and satisfaction knowing that I can contribute a bit to the success and to the change of a student’s life.

What is your must-have makeup tool?

My most essential makeup tool is concealer, and I can’t not have it.

Which celebrity would you like to beautify?

Shakira.

What is your best makeup tip?

When you use the concealer before applying it directly on the dark circles, you can apply a little bit in the palm of your hand to create oxidation and then, with your fingers you apply it under the eyes.
