Frequently Asked Questions

Applicants requesting admission to Celebrity School of Beauty must be at least 16 years old (18 years old for massage therapy students) and have a high school diploma or recognized equivalent.
Classes at Celebrity School of Beauty start every Monday. The date of completion is determined by the day a student enters the program, and the frequency of attendance. If you wish to complete the course sooner than scheduled, you may choose to attend additional class sessions with prior permission from your instructor. All students in the morning schedule attend classes from 9AM to 2PM, Monday through Friday. Students enrolled in the evening schedule attend classes from 6PM to 10PM, Monday through Thursday.

Occasionally, students may encounter difficulty with their personal lives, academic or financial affairs. Students experiencing problems may contact their instructor or appropriate school official for direction.

The administration will also make available to students a list of local professional agencies who offer counseling and other professional services for those needing occasional or on-going therapy.

Celebrity School of Beauty does not maintain housing for students. However, we are happy to provide a list of reliable realtors and rental properties in the close proximity to the school. Simply ask for a list at time of enrollment.
Absolutely. Celebrity School of Beauty’s job placement department is designed to assist you in your job search. Services available to students include resume development, job referrals, and guidance on professional appearance and job placement skills. However, the school cannot guarantee employment to any student.

Students are expected to attend all scheduled classes. In order to obtain permission for an excused absence, you must obtain permission from your instructor.

Students must come to class on time. The State of Florida requires students complete a set number of hours to graduate therefore, all class time missed must be made up by the student (prior to graduation).

Students who have been absent for any reason are required to make up any missed classes before graduating. A student may make up missed time by attending another class in session.

A Student may be granted a leave of absence for a reasonable amount of time as determined by the Academic Director. The total leave of absence period may not exceed 180 days. A request for a leave of absence must be in writing and the date of expected return must be specified. If a Student does not return within the specified return date and did not notify the School, the Student’s contract will be terminated on the date of the documented return date.

Manicure, Pedicure & Nail Extensions, Skin Care, Full Specialist, Spa Therapy, Massage Therapy and Makeup Artistry students receive one progress report at the midpoint of the program, respectively. Cosmetology and Barber students receive two progress reports: one at 450 hours and at 900 hours. Note: Hours are based on scheduled hours.

Students are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. A student who conducts himself/herself in an inappropriate manner to the school, staff or other students may be terminated. Theft of property from the school or other student is grounds for immediate dismissal.

The student agrees and is responsible to attend classes as scheduled and to abide by the published rules and regulations of the school. The student understands that his/her failure to do so may result in his/her immediate suspension or termination at the option of the school. The student understands and agrees that the school will not be responsible for providing any portion of his/her program of instruction remaining incomplete after a dismissal.

Celebrity School of Beauty considers students that have completed all program hours and services as a “candidate for graduation.”  You will receive your official diploma when you have completed the following requirements:

  • Attended all class hours and completed required services
  • Taken and passed a comprehensive final examination
  • Fulfilled all monetary obligations with the school

In accordance with the institution’s objectives, Celebrity School of Beauty will make every effort to resolve any student complaint that is not frivolous or without merit. The student must register the complaint, in writing, within 10 days from the date that the incident occurred. The grievance is to be delivered to the Executive Director, which shall review and investigate the allegation(s). A response and/or determination will be sent to all parties involved, in writing, within 30 days of receipt. Should the student find the school’s resolution to be unsatisfactory, he/she may file its compliant to the state licensing agency or the accreditation commission:

Any student wishing to officially withdraw from the school must notify the Executive Director in person or send a letter by certified mail. A student who missed school for 14 consecutive days and does not notify the Executive Director will be considered unofficially withdrawn.

To determine unofficial withdrawal, the school monitors student attendance monthly. The withdrawal date will be the last date the student actually attends class.

In the case of a student not returning from an approved Leave of Absence, the withdrawal determination date will be the earlier of the dates the student notifies the institution s/he will not be returning or the first date the student was to return from the leave but did not.

All accounts are subject to the school’s refund policy based on the withdrawal date.

Our salon offers an array of hair, nail and skin care services in a relaxing and upscale ambience that rivals many professional salons. Some of our most popular services include hair cuts, blow dry, manicures and pedicures, facials and hair removal for both men and women.

Our salon is open Monday through Friday. Our hours are as follows:
Monday-Friday: 10:50AM to 2PM
Monday-Thursday: 7:50PM to 10PM

The salon at Celebrity School of Beauty was created to compliment in-classroom instruction our students receive as part of their individual programs. Because of this, we open the salon in accordance with hours of instruction so that we can best accommodate our students and faculty.

While we do accept walk-ins, appointments are encouraged to ensure you receive the most personalized attention as possible.

Yes, our students, also known as “celebrities-in-training,” perform all services at our salon. All students are supervised by highly qualified faculty, ensuring you will enjoy professional quality hair, nail and skin care in a pleasant atmosphere.

Yes, we do. For tuition, books and supplies at Celebrity Beauty School, financial aid is available for students who may need additional assistance with curriculum fees.

There are different types of financial aid, including federal loans, state grants and other types of scholarships. Each has its own set of rules and eligibility criteria. We encourage all students at Celebrity School of Beauty to apply for financial assistance as you may be eligible for aid that you did not even know was available.
